Hey Larry, why just once a year? How about
he one I started called Flight Of The Killer Bees? I just
ooked at the radar map and heavy storms just moved into south west part of PA.
heir calling for a lot of storms tomorrow and all sun spots are doing nothing.

Hey Larry, I went to the web site but it really doesn't give much info about
FOBB. Can you enlighten us a little? It looks like a QRP CW Event (sprint?)
with emphasis on outdoor operation. Is there some history? Who, why, when
 sort of thing?

on,
Yes, you surmise correctly. The Flight of the Bumblebees is a QRP Sprint
with a twist. It is sponsored by the Adventure Radio Society and
ccurs each year on the last Sunday of July.
The idea is to operate outdoors at a location that you can walk, hike,
ayak, bike, canoe, etc, etc, to get to. Work as many other Bees and
on-Bees as you can in the allotted time.
he primary goal? To have fun in the great outdoors!
If you go to the FOBB site:
ttp://adventure-radio.org/wiki/index.php?title=Flight_of_the_Bumblebees
nd then click the caption underneath the photos, you'll get the
ccounts of that Bee's day in the field.

I took the liberty of assigning you Bee # 204 - it's your whether you
ecide to use it or not. Please think about it, though - it is a ton of
un! While it is one of the better known QRP outdoor events; we
elcome anyone to operate and join in on the fun - even from the indoors!
