Thanks DR

So far I've got it narrowed down to being an Austrian Camel-Back key
from about 1860-81 but the unit that site shows has a flat-blade spring whereas mine
has some kind of internal wound coil-spring mechanism so your forwarding to morsecode net
could be helpful. Did you already forward my mail to morsecode .. net? BTW I believe I all ready
am a member of that net.
(Maybe Kipling was inspried by my key while touring the Continent ;0.)

  Hello HM,

I don't know who made the key, but I do know that most of the world's telegraph equipment experts subscribe to the morsecode at mailman.qth.net email list. You might want to subscribe to that list, in the meantime, I will forward the message to you. I don't believe they have html "on" as I have on this list. I have set it for small messages so small pictures can pass.

Can anyone help me ID this key?
My guess is it's a European railway unit from the late 1880's - but have no expetise on the subejct.

Have actually had QSO's by inserting a coin between the worn contacts -
great RC subject if u can find someone who'll Rag Chew.

    Would appeciate assistance on this.
