You are correct. I had it backwards. The dot pre-tensioners were on the
1938 model and were dropped on the 1939 model. That is a great article
there.
However, all of the Deluxe McElroy's have the Marbelite finish and the
circuit closer.
I have the 1938 late version of the Deluxe with the smaller pre-tensioners.
It has the nice (to me) Marbelite finish and a circuit closer.
It is a very nice sending bug.
