[CW] CW trends on the ham bands -- as I experience it

Locally, we tried to make new hams aware of sites such as www.ac6v.com and
many other helpful bits of information, but, they did not bother to read.
If the information was passed to them over an on-the-air net, chances of
them using it increased somewhat.
We used http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NewHamsNet/ . I or someone else
would answer their question during the net. Then, I would follow up by
adding the information into the files section of this web site as a
permanent record. A week or a month later, the new ham asks the same
question.
In an attempt to be a good communicator ( Ham ), I now tell the new Ham
the answer and write it on one of my note cards which is then handed to the
new Ham. If we are not eyball to eyeball, I tell the new Ham to look for my
e-mail as a written affirmation. ( Short answers; right now )
A pen and note cards are always carried in one of my pockets. The note
cards are old QSL cards cut to fit in a shirt pocket.
#2 I use eqsl. Occaisional requests are received for a scheduled QSL.
I promptly respond to the request with dates, times and frequencies.
       There is no reply.
