Try Signal school Fort Jackson, Fort Belvior, and Fort Gordon. 18th Airborne Corps
Signal battalion some of the folks there used Script, and gave it to others to
transcribe it using a typewriter. FWIW, each of the schools I visited was different,
and don't get me started on what they did for the Korean WAR!

Just for fun (and because I feel lazy today and don't feel like working on any of the projects adorning my bench.....) I checked this against my 1941 copy of "Instructions for Use in Preparation for the rating of Radioman 3c"
The only differences I found were the zero, O, and Q all started at the 12 o'clock in the book.
I never realized the a '1" had a bar across the bottom; learned something new today!

The Signal Corps and others used this style of writing to copy Morse. It is a fast way to write Morse code down.
