[CW] Morse Training

Enjoyed reading the military war stories from the group.  I was already
licensed when I went into the army in late 1961.  Went to radio school for
the Army Security Agency at Fort  Devens in Massachusetts. I aleady knew the
code but could not type.  When I demonstated I could copy 20 WPM with a
pencil they made me sit at a mill for 6 hours a day trying to copy 10 WPM.
When I got out of school I could copy 25 WPM on the mill.  The army had a
unique incentive program, don't reach program milestones stay on base for
the weekend.  Very effective.    After graduation spent the rest of my 3
year tour copying Russians and Cubans from southern Florida after the Cuban
missile crisis.
