[CW] use of AR

In some respect, you are correct _(AND COMES THE BIG butt) But, there
should be standards so that each of us know what the other guy is doing and
intends for us to do. I get more than confused to see some RTTY or CW op
putting an AR in the middle of a CQ, for instance. AR - put simply means
BYE BYE. K means - someone go ahead, and KN means -the station I am
talking to go ahead.

I was never a cw op in ARRL traffic nets, so cannot speak for those, but I
definitely have done my bit as both a military and government CW operator,
and at the early stages of that, the hams on the air were using the same
pro-signs and signals as we were doing in government services. Forign hams
were doing the same.
