[CW] AR or K after CQ

   The ARRL says: "AR - "+" over, end of message" and uses it between messages on W1AW.
In casual contacts it is used to say goodbye.

   It seems odd to me to have an exhaustive set of abbreviations an use an unnecessary pro 
signal after calling CQ even if it seems to fit.  It is unnecessary in that context.

   I have heard old timers that couldn't send their own call sign so little surprises me 
any more.   (There is no WTS1XXX call around here.)
