Theoretically they backed down from that. Realistically, Facebook should
ALWAYS be thought of as a party line (as in the old days of telephony.)

I do seem to recall that a recent news item created a buzz when it revealed
that the "fine print" of a facebook account states that anything and
everything that you post to your facebook page becomes the property of
facebook forever and ever even if you decide to delete it and quit...
