Which of course can excuse all manner of peculiar habits!
Surely CW is meant for manual production and aural reception. If one
likes typing on a keyboard and reading from a screen there are a
multitude of other modes, some of which are more effective than
manual/aural CW, and are also enjoyable to boot.
CW is different, as it's the only non-speech mode intended for human
generation and reception. I for one would like to keep it that way.
