Even when both people in the QSO are using computers to transmit CW,
they may both be enjoying and improving their CW receiving skills. Other
listeners may also be enjoying the QSO, without having to look at a
computer screen, and may be improving their CW copying skills. Someone
operating portable or mobile, who does not care to bring along a laptop
or PDA device may be able to join the QSO or start a QSO afterwards with
one of the keyboard operators.
And then of course, the most likely reason they use CW, even with a
keyboard, instead of some modern digital mode, is because they like it.
