I put up a flat top antenna for 80 meters - nothing special. 70 feet
long, six wires, 50 feet up.
I have been very pleased with the results.
Tonight I was working some UA3's and SP's on 3,502 kHz when some QRM happened!
CQ CQ CQ DE VP6DX VP6DX VP6DX UP 25 K
So I shifted my second VFO to 3,527 and gave him one call!
BINGO!

With this QSO, I've worked:
North America
South America, YV, PY
Europe, G, EI, EA, F, and the usual suspects - even LY and C31.
Africa - some DX pedition and also VQ9LC on CW and SSB.
Asia - A5 and 4X/4Z count for Asia.
Arctic - doesn't count for WAC - but several of those /ANT stations and R1
Antarctic - I don't know if some of those /ANT stations were at the south pole!
Oceania - VP6DX
Not bad for a cloud burner!
I only operate from 2200Z to 0230Z twice a week - other than that I am QRT.
I did this in just over a month.
Rig 500 watts to that antenna.
