I suspect that there is a high percentage of ditty-boppers, as intercept ops
are called, in the ranks of ham radio. I know several of em - some of whom
I personally gave the Novice test . The two highest scoring operators in my
army intercept class, after basic training ,were hams - we had 120 in the
class. The top three of us got our choice of assignment. The other guy
beat me out by one pont, even though I copied faster than he did. He got me
on antenna theory, or something like that.

I hadnt known about Johnny Cash, but in a way it figures. I hve often been
told that the rthym of copying code helps in music, or is that the other way
around? I dont know, since I am tone dumb.
