Danny,
As far back as when I remember - the middle 1960s W1AW schedules were
given in GMT AND local day/time. I know they gave the Eastern time -
and I'm pretty sure they gave Pacific time as well. Later, I believe
they gave all the "lower 48" time zone times PLUS GMT.
That's how I learned GMT - I knew from the W1AW schedule that it came
on at 0000Z and that was 7 PM where I lived in the winter, 8 PM in
the summer!
It was a good teaching tool for me!
