I thought I was about the only ham that had felt this way
about it.
I have a Ten-Tec Omni 6 opt 3 (which I bought used from Ten-Tec,
when a lot of these were being traded in on Orion 1's), and I
feel a sense of "deja vu" looking in the interior. It reminds
me of some of the Tektronix or Hewlett Packard pulse generators
or other instruments I've used.
When I look in my old Kenwood rig (TS-520, which I do like, by
the way), it looks "cheap" by comparison, like a piece of
"consumer electronics".
The printed circuit boards are clearly not as well made.
