[CW] Wall Street Journal Article on Morse Code

Does anyone know why the Wall Street Journal has always been kindly
desposed to Morse code operators?

Perhape because some of us worked for the brokerage houses.  I
remember the Boston Stock Exchange had morse operators as late as 1972
(last time I saw them there).  I talked to my broker and he said they
had disappeared on the order wire by 1975 or so.

It was faster than teletype because you could tell the operator at the
other end to WAIT - then have him copy a short message - the teletype
had to finish one message before you could start another tape - or
you'd just have to repeat the interrupted message in its entirity.

Bonus question who founded the Journal of Commerce?
