[CW] Computer Copy Common?

Has computer copy of CW become rather common among
those who dare to use a computer to copy CW and are
not able to copy CW on their own? 

Don't want to single out CW newbies, but the operating
technique is that of an op who hasn't learned enough
CW yet and gets frightened away. 

In the past few months I get replies to my CQ only to
hear nothing after I acknowledge their callsign and go
thru the beginning QSO hoop-la and send it back to the
caller. I do QRS close to the other op's sending
speed, at least I think I do. Yes, one give-away is if
they are using a keyboard to send their CW, and
perhaps they are - I didn't take count. 

It's a shame they don't even come back and say repeat
the info or say QRS more, they just disappear. 

I don't remember much of this type of operating in the
past.
