The Royal Navy seems to have retained some flashing capability.  Last year
I was watching something on the tv news when a frigate in the background
started flashing.  Unfortunately I only got a couple of letters 'cos the
newscaster stuck his head in the way :-(
I know they did away with the all-round masthead light about 10 years ago.
