I recall when I was learning the code, I subconsciously made up similar 
phrases.  One I can remember is for the  letter "L", I thought of French for 
"United States",  "États-Unis".

I had tried unsuccessfully to teach myself to recive code by sending to 
myself with a key and audio oscillator.  I could send code but not copy it.  
Then over one summer, I borrowed some WW2 surplus Signal Corps 78 RPM code 
practice records from my high school physics department.  They must have 
worked, because I passed my novice test only 3 weeks after school was out.
