[CW] Mystery FYO-Type Paddle: Help With Identification?

I have a couple of HAL FYO-type iambic paddles, and recently
acquired a "mystery FYO-type" paddle. I've never seen another
that looks like it. Any ideas?

It is unmarked, looks a lot like my HAL FYO paddles, but
has different component spacings and a "retaining ring" at
the front, which keeps the paddles from being knocked off
of the pivots (a problem with the original FYO iambic and
the HAL FYO iambic paddles produced in the 70s).

The "retaining ring" doesn't touch the paddle arms at all,
so it doesn't affect the feel of the paddle. If one of the
finger pieces is poked from the 'inside', the paddle arm
makes contact with the retaining ring and stays seated on
the pivots.

This doesn't look like a "retrofit" of a HAL: the distances
between the common components is different. Did HAL change
their design late in production to fix the "paddles flying
off pivots problem"?

I've put photos of the "mystery FYO-type" paddle and of one
of my HAL FYO paddless (for comparison) on the web at:

(I didn't clean up the paddles before taking the pictures,
so excuse the dust!)
