Mark - I think that, if the Field Day operation is one that is trying to
win, or, at least, make a good show the CW operators will attend. If it
just a fun time field day (nothing wrong with that, but it is a different
operation) they stay at home as most good CW operators, I feel, would rather
do the contest type operation.
Just my thoughts having been at field days here at W5DDL (Lafayette Amateur
Radio Club) on or off since 1961. but not much recently.
