Snobs! I have an HK-1 on the left, angled back to the right (I am very
right-handed) and a Bencher on the right, handy at arm's length, beside the
rig. I alternate. The Bencher is set so close, I can barely tell when it
moves. The HK-1 is noisy, mechanical and fun to slap around. I like to
alternate "feel" and arm position. The Bencher is silky smooth and dead
quiet. The HK-1 clicks and moves noticeably (I could set it tighter, but
that would destroy the purpose, such as it is). I've never tried one of the
megabuck keys mentioned here and elsewhere. I have better things to do with
my money. I don't try them (although I am not sure how I would), for the
same reason I don't try a Maserati. I don't really need it, and I'd just as
soon not know what I'm missing since I'm too cheap to buy such a thing even
if I could afford it. The HK-1 works fine and adjusts across a goodly range.
I think you'd like it fine if you're not too picky or just want an alternate
set of paddles. 73 Jan N0AAA
