Reminds me of a story that appeared in THE NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN the other
day. It seems that the Nashville Metro School Board decided to no longer
allow area high schools to publish the honor roll list in the local
newspaper because it might hurt the feelings of students who did not make
the list, and their parents. They went on to cite a federal law that
protects the privacy of students by prohibiting the publication of grade
information.
