[CW] Need J-48-A Knob

Dale: If you ever sent CW with a key designed for a spark transmitter, then
you would have used a key with an skirt on the base of the knob. If you ever
got knocked to the deck from the high voltage appearing on the key terminals
of a medium wave or H.F. Transmitter used in a merchant or naval ship, with
usually an 813 final, you would have begged the captain for a key with a
skirt. (He would have told you to furnish your own key.) -73- Sherrill W.

Jeans, slacks, shorts, even a bathrobe once -- but I don't believe I've ever
sent CW with a skirt. Doesn't it feel a little silly that way? I guess
"personal preference" is right!
