[CW] 80 meter activity

14,100-14,150 is loaded here in the northeast with lots of foreign 'phone
from Europe and South America as well as Packet BBS in the lower part.

It used to be used for nationwide CW nets but hasn't been since the QRM
moved those nets out of this area - too much QRM from SSB in this area.

The nets moved to around 14,075 but now with the increase in RTTY/PSK and
other modes, they've had to retreat even further to around 14,050 kHz, which
puts the CW band at 14,000-14,065.

Not much.

80 meters also has an additional 100 khz for CW that
40 and 20 don't. THose bands have the SSB portion
start 150 khz from the lower band edge. On 80, it is
250 khz from the lower edge. THere isn't much CW
activity in the 14.100 to 14.150 segment on 20. 15
meters has 200 khz for CW, as does 10 because the
28.200 to 28.300 is generally reserved for beacons.

I am not advocating moving the SSB portion down, just
making and observation.
