Ron, apart from making one feel good, what is the practical reason for
contacting one's representative or senator? The FCC is empowered to make
regulations without regard to the wishes of Congress. FCC regulations are
not subject to Congressional approval.

If the FCC decides to approve PLC, Congress can do nothing about it at the
time. Later perhaps, but not until the toothpaste is out of the tube. The
constitutional separation between the legislative, judicial and executive
branches of government permit the administration considerable freedom in how
it conducts its business without assistance or approval of Congress.

Of course, Congressional influence on FCC funding is the ultimate control
mechanism but I would think that effort spent contacting FCC personnel would
offer more immediate impact and effect.

As to who deserves radio spectrum, I appreciate your concern and anxiety
over this issue, but that is really a rather rude statement to make. It is
more likely to turn people "off" through resentment than to encourage them
to act as you suggest or seemingly "demand."  Failure to perform what may
appear to many as a useless act is hardly justification for condemnation to
the fate of spectrum loss.

You stated your opinion - I have stated mine. Neither is a fact. There is no
need for further discussion on any of the lists.
