[CW] Status of Earthlink vs ARRL

Dear Fred,

What is interesting about this reply is that they are saying that ARRL does
not "block" spam.

That isn't ARRL's job.

My ISP doesn't block SPAM either - but they mark it with [SPAM].

I don't want my mail blocked.

BUT THIS IS THE REAL STRANGE THING:

In the case of arrl.net, this is due to the fact that the
administrators of arrl.net have chosen to take a completely hands
off position in the fight against spam, doing nothing to prevent
the unsolicited e-mail that is originally addressed to users in
that domain from being propagated throughout the rest of the
Internet.

Ask them: "How is "unsolicited e-mail that is originally addressed to users
in
that domain from being propagated throughout the rest of the Internet"?

ARRL has NO control over email that originates elsewhere and is sent to
someone with an ARRL.net (domain) address.

But are they trying to say in some strange way that email that is SPAM after
it is addressed - for example - to me, get propagated through the internet?

I don't think so.

That's impossible.
