Larry, in most circles, "old fart" is a term of endearment and of respect,
although it is usually used in a self-deprecating manner. The usage by David
was crude and rude and not in keeping with the way one amateur describes
another.
Meanwhile, despite his thesis, I for one manage to keep alive the spirit of
"old time radio" every time I fire up the paddles!
