Greetings Larry and all. As a 44 year-old Morse enthusiast, I agree!
Really though, my grumblings have less to do with being labeled an OF,
than with reading all the applesauce like, "when are we going to get rid
of this antique mode (CW) and become a 'modern' service"...
When by 'modern' these nare-do-wells mean 'voice' modes.
CW as used in radiotelegraphy came about shortly after the turn of the
century while phone came along about twenty years later.
So let me see if I get this right. It is now 2003 and a mode that was
first used in 1910 is "ancient" while a mode first used in 1920 is
"modern"?
These folks need to rethink their argument because that old dog just
won't hunt!
