I have to put my vote in with DR, I can either copy, or talk, but not
both at the same time. Now here is one caveat-- I have worked "split
phone watch" in the past, meaning that one Rube Goldberg'ed a pair of
headphones, so you had one on each ear with a plug, and monitored two
freqs at once. That, to me is doable, but to the point where if you get
called simultaneously, one can send "AS1" or if military "ZUJ" to one of
the stations, then handle one set of traffic, then the other.
or hopefully, call another op to put down his coffee and start copying
--hi--.
I don't like doing it with voice either, it's too easy to get confused.
However, I had a closed head injury in '99 and my short-term memory is
not as good as it used to be, getting better, however.
