[CW] Etiquette question...

That isn't what I am saying John.
I said "If you're working these guys through any type of competition like a
pile up,
your not talking about the same weak signals that I am."
So if you worked these guys through a pile up - and I am glad we both agree
you did do that - then this isn't what I am talking about.
You could NOT work the type of signal I am talking about through a pile up.
You'd never hear it.
I am also not talking about just copying S9+++++ signals. If I were S9+++++
(unless I was net control of a net) I would turn down the power. Enough is
enough!
You simply misunderstand what I am saying.
The signal I am talking about are so weak they wouldn't break a pile up.
There is some strange propagation that exists especially on 28 MHz that
allows a kW signal to be over S9, but a 100 watt signal to be barely there.
With the signal I am talking about, I went to the same power as the station
I finally copied after 10 mins, and he couldn't even hear me - he didn't
know I was transmitting.
When I went to 100 watts the QRP station said he could copy some words.
When I went back to 500 watts, the QRP station said he was amazed. I was
now S9.
(NOTE- this is parts of several off list remarks to John It appears that
some people have misunderstood what I meant.)
