Oh I assure you, VP6DI and many others were worked in a pileup. The 
secret, as you know, is to transmit where they are listening. Also, they 
were skilled operators, and were willing to listen for the weak signals. 

There have been some DXpeditions that have obviously only worked those 
stations that were S9 or better.  If that's what they want, fine. (The 
last VP6DIA operation comes to mind). Heck, there are a lot of 
dxpeditions now that don't even work CW any more.

My point is, we are not passing traffic on a commercial basis. This is 
AMATEUR radio, and we are supposed to be having fun. If only copying 
S9+++ signals is what "floats your boat" that great. There are many out 
there that like the challenge, and are proud of their skill at copying 
weak signals, and using QRP to get the job done.
