I have had a Icom IC-738,Yaesu FT-1000MP,TenTec Omni VI,and now a Elecraft
K2
I have to say the Omni VI was the best second to none. The break in was so
good
the receiver could still be heard between the dits and dahs running 40 wpm.
I can't tell you about 40+ because that is my limit on CW.
The FT-1000MP was 2nd but the FT-1000 line has key clicks and that is
another issue

Then the K2 from Elecraft then the Icom IC-738
Icom has been noted to shorten the first dit running full-brake-in
and runs better using semi-brake-in mode. These are just my
findings from using different rigs and I am not trying to
be negative about anyone's radio.
