I also have an IC-706. Setting the delay so the relay clatters along with
sending is NOT what I mean by QSK. Maybe in 1935 but not now.

I have 2 japanese rigs a ft-900 , ic-706 mk2. Both of these radios
have full break in. some of the newer rigs have settings, accessable
via a menu feature, or a knob on the rig some where to set the timing
of the QSK. Perhaps that is where your problem is. Check your operations
