You could use the "Q" signal  QRI

QRI  figure 1  means good tone

QRI figure  2 means  variable (chirpy)

QRI  figure 3 means  bad tone

So you send QRI 3 in this raspy tone case....

The only problem no one would know what you mean
when you sent it to them.. Hi...

However it might make for an interesting QSO to explain it to the other
opr...better than talking about the wx...

I always found the Q signals much better than that old
RST system...ones such as QRK, QSA etc...QRG,
not many survived the CW wreck of the late90's...
I hear QRL a lot, QRU and the misuse of QRZ a lot
and of course QSL.

With the Q sigs the two ops could QSO and not even speak the same language.
A big advantage of CW that
hardly ever gets mentioned....
