Tha ARRL is in BUSINESS, to sell advertising and magazines. Anything else
is incidental. I get more mail from ARRL asking for money than even from
my old Alma Mater. "Diamond Club", "Legacy Club" etc. Today I got one
about the "ARRL's Fight against BPL." Give more money or get BPL, with
all the attendant QRM, etc.

Funny, I have noted a DECREASE in technical articles, along with an
increase in advertising space. (I have read QST since 1949, and been a
member since 1958).
Anyway, I wrote to the Atlantic Division Director and asked him his slant
on the ARRL position. I haven't heard back yet.
