I too received a very similar message from Les,K4NK. I received his reply 
just some 12 hours after I sent my email to him - that is service.  Its just too 
bad he is not our director instead of being Vice Director, since Vice 
Directors have no vote on the subject.  I too have not received any response at all 
from the director, Dennis Bodson.  My understanding the director has not come 
out and explained his standing to anyone who has written.  If this is not 
correct, please advise us here.  Its also my understanding (Ill not say where from) 
that the Director is not likely to do so.

   Also, I have been advised that the Delta Division Director, Rick Roderick 
- K5UR - is another man of conviction and has announced he wants to keep CW as 
a requirement in the testing process.

Maybe, we need to continue to report success, or failure, of receipt of 
responses from these Directors/Vice Directors, and insure the correct ones get our 
vote in the next elections.  I for one am more than willing to put the "right" 
person forward for election to the board.  And I would like to know who "not" 
to vote for as well.  Many have said "we need to take the organization back." 
 Well, this is the way to do it.
