I agree with David.  If there were an alternative organization in the US
that did what the ARRL does, but that was more supportive of keeping the
Amateur Service technical - instead of chasing after numbers to populate
"underutilized" HF bands I'd say, "yeah vote with your feet."

But there isn't another organization.

So, it's Plan B:  Join, get active, learn who is on the Board and take back
our organization!  Notice how NCVEC seems to be establishing the agenda
lately?  Don't let them do it.  Apathy and ignorance about the ARRL Board
does it.  When you write to your ARRL officials you'll find out their
stance, or you won't.  Either way you'll know whether they are a "keeper" or
a "goner."

Take back the ARRL!

Think it's hopless? Then, friend, please get on the air and p[oluate our
bands and you'll be helpuing whether you meant to or not. It is better to
speak up than roll over.
