OK, I did an reverse DNS lookup of ualr.edu to get the dotted quad of
144.167.99.66

I forgot the word "reverse" - but it amounts to the same thing.

I think I was in a hurry - but what he wanted was the IP address, and I knew
he wanted that, so I found out to give it to him.

What you quoted was still correct: I found the address [IP address] by
finding a DNS lookup [on the internet] and I checked it [the IP dotted quad
address] with my browser.

What isn't right is the DNS of the site is:
144.167.99.66.

What I should have said was:

The value [IP address] that the DNS reverse search gave me was 144.167.99.66

I am sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
