[CW] VEC, VE, FCC, ARRL, W5YI

The problem, IMHO, is the VEC/FCC deal. I have never liked it since the 
FCC got out of the business of testing, as it pretty well presented a 
level playing field for all. OPNOTE:  I have taken ALL my exams from the 
FCC examiners (those exams not associated with the U.S. Navy, and had 
quite a few there too--hi--).  I mistrust too many people being able to 
give exams, unless it was the old way, where if you were too distant 
from an FCC facility, you could take your "conditional".

    I just think its the mob mentality, and the ostrich response of the 
ARRL that has irritated me.
