[CW] Mechanical x Crystal Filters

Hi all:

My name is Eric - PY2EMC and I am looking for
documentation/article/paper that could educate me understand the
differences between crystal filter versus mechanical filter.

Also, I want to understand where and when I can use one or another, wich
is the best, type of application, etc ...

It is valid for both CW and SSB modes ?

Specifically for CW, wich is the best ? Where to put ? (1st IF, 2nd IF
??)

Anyone can help me or point the direction to find ?
