Yes, Steve, how true!!!

Especially for stations like Land's End Radio / GLD whose assigned 
frequency was 499.0 kHz - their audio on 500 was just from the 
modulation from the 5 kW amplifier! 

But what a signal!

I always noticed they had a "throatyness" a growl, and this was caused 
by the carrier!

A way cool signal!
