After using the bug for years, I found that using the dual paddle, squeez
keying came naturally. I quickly got the hang of it. And it never
interfered with my ability to use the bug. I could change over in the
middle of a sentence with no problem. The only problem is after sending for
a while with the paddle, fatigue must set in, because I start to make too
many errors. That doesn't happen with the bug, and I am sure practice would
take care of the problem.

However, I still prefer the solid, velvet smooth feel of my well-worn, 1928
vintage, ex-landline-telegrapher's Vibroplex Original, and rarely use the
keyer. My paddle key is collecting dust on the shelf. So is my more modern
post WWII Vibroplex Original - its "feel" is too stiff.
