If someone really wants to try a pretty simple and nice
side swiper I have one I'll sell. I bought it several
years ago from someone here on the list. Not disatisfied
in any way.... just sold my bug too. I don't have time to
experiment and I love my straight key and March paddle too
much to bother mastering another type of style.
It is one of Jim Richards, K6VDH's "Finger Tapper" keys.
It is solid machined brass on a wooden base and is serial
number #26 I believe. You can see the key on the Morse
Express web page at: http://www.morsex.com/ftap/ .
My key is very similar to that NA-10 but instead of the
fancy wooden paddle it has a blue ... what looks like a
guitar pick. If you don't like that "handle" Jim told me
last fall for $15 he'd retrofit the fancy wood handle to
it. They sell new for about $100 plus s&h ... this one
isn't perfect, a few small scratches/marks so I'd sell it
for $45 shipped.
If interested send me an email...
