[CVRC] Ham Swap and One Day Technician License Class 5/4

 On Saturday, May 4, 2013, a Technician Class FastClass (Hamcram) will 
 be held in Reno, Nevada. The class is sponsored by Reno repeater 
 organizations WADG, SNARS, and the Wolf Pack UNR Radio Club.  Cost of 
 the class is $15 and the test fee is an additional $15.  For additional 
 information, suggested study material, sample tests, and what to bring,

 Testing will be immediately after the class.

 Class presenter and Black Rock Rat David Book KD7YIM says "I've done 
 about a dozen of these classes and have about a 95% pass rate among 
 people who have studied the material on their own.  This is really a 
 last-minute review before taking the test, not a complete class covering 
 everything you need to know.  If people haven't studied the material 
 ahead of time, their chance of passing pretty low."  He adds "The test 
 is easier than most people think and sample tests exactly like the real 
 one are available online.  It's at a 7th & 8th grade level so adults who 
 study ahead of time really don't have an excuse for not passing!"

 Testing for all license classes will be available starting at 9:00 am.  
 A hamswap will begin at 6:00 am and there will be a barbecue starting at
