Good morning folks,

I am Len, WA6KLK, the VUAC representative for the Pacific Division. Our
committee has been meeting for some time and have been discussing various
things, such as VHF contesting rules and how to get more folks into the VHF
contests.

Would you please email the clubs in your sections with a request that
their members consider giving me some input on 1--What rules should be
changed in the VHF contests, and how would you change them? and 2---What
do you suggest as methods to get more folks into vhf contesting ?? These
can be simple short answers and may range from power levels, number of
bands, FM usage, new classes, etc.

This information may also go onto the local nets for VHF or whatever for
discussion. Non-ARRL folks are also requested to respond with
information.

Many folks have a HF transceiver with a "50" button on it. How do we get
them onto six meters or above? How do we get new folks or just FM folks
onto the contests ?? What other rules or ideas do you think should be
discussed by the committee? These are few of suggestions for questions.

Comments within the Pacific Division can be sent to me Len WA6KLK at
compmtn at saber dot net

A final deadline is about the end of June. Comments will be compiled in
my Division and remarks made into the VUAC Committee for discussion. All
ARRL Divisions are requesting comments.

THANK YOU for your help and assistance with this project.

73 Len WA6KLK
