Statement as of 3:31 AM PST on November 22, 2010

...Wind Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to 4 am PST
Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Wind Advisory...
which is in effect from 6 PM this evening to 4 am PST Tuesday.

* Timing: gusty southwest winds will develop this evening and
   continue through Tuesday morning.

* Winds: southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Wind
   prone areas may gust up to 70 mph near and west of Highway 395.

* Impacts: strong Crosswinds will cause difficult travel
   conditions along Highway 395 especially through the Washoe
   Valley and near Red Rock...Exit 78.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Motorists...especially in high profile vehicles...should use
caution and remain alert for sudden gusts or cross winds.  Check
our website at weather.Gov/Reno or listen to NOAA Weather Radio
for updates on this situation.
