High Wind Warning
Statement as of 3:36 PM PDT on April 01, 2010
...High Wind Warning in effect from noon to 8 PM PDT Friday...
The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a High Wind
Warning...which is in effect from noon to 8 PM PDT Friday.
* Winds: southwest to west winds 10 to 20 mph in the morning
increasing to 20 to 35 mph with gusts 60 to 70 mph in the
afternoon...mainly in the foothills and near the Highway 395
corridor.
* Impacts: unsecured outdoor items such as deck furniture and
garbage cans should be tied down or moved indoors. In the High
Wind Warning area...damage to trees...power lines...and
property is possible. Motorists should use extra caution and
remain alert for sudden gusts or cross winds.

Damage to trees...power lines and property is possible with winds
of this magnitude. Driving will become hazardous for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution and remain alert for sudden gusts or
