Wind Advisory
Statement as of 9:51 PM PDT on March 28, 2009

...Wind Advisory in effect until 11 am PDT Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Wind Advisory...
which is in effect until 11 am PDT Sunday.

* Winds will increase tonight ahead of a strong cold front Monday
   morning. The strongest winds will occur around sunrise just
   before the front moves through.

* Winds: west to southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph.
   Local gusts to 65 mph in wind prone areas such as Galena and
   Washoe Valley early Sunday morning.

* Impacts: strong cross winds are expected along U.S. Highway 395
   in western Nevada. Elsewhere...winds are expected to pose mainly
   an inconvenience but will be strong enough to move unsecured
   lightweight items such as lawn chairs.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Motorists...especially in high profile vehicles...should use
caution and remain alert for sudden gusts or cross winds.
