The Wind Advisory is now in effect until 10 PM PDT this evening.
South to southwest winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph
expected across many areas today. The winds will gradually shift to
west this afternoon and early evening. Foothills and wind prone
areas such as Washoe Valley can expect to see isolated wind gusts up
to 65 mph. The strong winds will continue through this afternoon
before diminishing in intensity this evening.
Motorists...especially in high profile vehicles along Highway
395...should use caution and remain alert for sudden gusts or cross
winds. Check our website at weather.Gov/Reno or listen to NOAA
Weather Radio for updates on this situation.
